We are Anchor of Hope’s new Community Educators, Sue Habighorst and Carol Marksteiner. Our role is to build community relationships between Anchor of Hope and local schools, churches, and organizations.
Our goal is to champion Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (an evidence-based abstinence program) as the best approach to help middle-school and high school age students thrive now and enter adulthood equipped to achieve life success. We will do this by developing age-appropriate curriculum focused on healthy, biblical, sexual health habits and behaviors consistent with Anchor of Hope’s core values.
We look forward to the challenge of creating educational programs for our community. It is important that our youth are given the knowledge, skills, and encouragement they need to make wise and healthy decisions. We also look forward to developing programs and projects that bring parents and their children together to have healthy and meaningful conversations about difficult subjects.

Receptionist/Client Care
bsn, registered nurse
Liz Hildebrandt, BSN, RN, has served as Nurse Manager since 2017. With a background in Labor and Delivery, Prenatal Clinic care and as a Nursing Director of a pregnancy center in Tucson, Arizona, Liz comes with a heart to serve.
As a nurse trained in limited obstetric ultrasound, she works under the RDMS and Radiologist to show moms and dads the life within them. She leads the medical team, working with the Co-Medical Directors to carry out Medical Center Policies and procedures, as well as providing direct client care.
Her grandparents and parents’ generosity and service paved the way to build a desire for caring for women and saving unborn lives. Overseas medical mission trips fostered a heart to serve the lost.
She lives in Sheboygan with her husband Jim, who supports her work and serves as a Client Advocate mentoring men at Anchor of Hope. They have three teenage children.
Registered Nurse
Angela TenDolle, RN, joined our staff in 2021 as Assistant Nurse manager, working to provide excellent face-to-face patient care. Angela has been working as a Registered Nurse for since 2019, with a background working at a local hospital.
Angela has found a passion serving in this ministry. Always having a love for Women’s Health, God led her in the direction of Anchor of Hope. She strives to show love, guidance, and understanding to all clients that enter the building.
She is currently being trained in limited obstetric ultrasound and will soon be able to see clients on her own! Working under the RDMS and Radiologist, she will be able to show the life growing within each mom. Angela also works under the Nurse Manager and Medical Director to provide other important services including pregnancy testing, well woman exams, STI testing, etc.
Angela lives in Oostburg with her husband, Derrick. She has also recently accepted a part time position at Aurora Grafton as a labor and delivery nurse. She is excited to dive deeper into Women’s Health and feels that this will complement her work at Anchor of Hope very nicely while offering an opportunity for further learning.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Jeff Lynds is serving in his 6th year as medical director. He has degrees from the University of New Hampshire, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Additionally, he maintains board certification in Family Medicine. Dr. Lynds is retired after 30 years of private practice with the Sheboygan Clinic. Prior to his volunteering with AOH, Dr. Lynds volunteered for the Salvation Army free clinic where he saw patients and for 20 years served as their medical director. Dr. Lynds is married to Lora with 2 married daughters, and 6 precious grandchildren, all living nearby!
As a committed Christ follower, Dr. Lynds is passionate about AOH’s mission and ministry. Whereas he found caring for the underprivileged and uninsured needful and rewarding, following Christ’s command to care for His little children by caring for His unborn is even more needful. He sees it a privilege to answer God’s call to stand in the gap for these children between life and the many forces working against that new life.
MEDICAL SERVICES
Dr. Steven Falconer has been volunteering his professional services reading of all the ultrasounds from Anchor of Hope since the Center’s inception. Dr. Falconer is a 1993 graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School- Duluth. He graduated in 1997 from the University of Iowa Hospitals after completing his residency in Clinical Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Falconer has practiced radiology in Wisconsin for the past 25 years. He has been married to his wife, Clare for 32 years and they have 6 children – 3 boys and 3 girls.
MSN, Registered Nurse
Sue Habighorst, MSN, RN, has served as a volunteer nurse at Anchor of Hope since 2020. She is a nurse educator with a public health background.
Sue recently joined the Education team with plans to serve the schools and community with prevention education.
While on a medical mission trip in Lima, Peru she witnessed the people of the church investing in their community every day. Their single-mindedness to serve the Lord wowed her and convicted her to become active in serving her community in Sheboygan. She has had the pleasure of volunteering as an RN for AOH for over two years. The opportunity to serve as staff in this Community Education role reminds her what a good and gracious God we serve.
She lives in Sheboygan with her husband Mark. Their two grown sons, Sam and Ben, live in Oshkosh. She works part-time for Concordia University in Mequon as a clinical and online nursing instructor.
CLIENT ADVOCATE
As I have volunteered as a Client Advocate at Anchor of Hope since the spring of 2022, I have had the amazing opportunity to serve and support the men, women, and children who walk through our doors.
Now, I’m excited to bring my experience as a former schoolteacher to this new role as we build relationships with the youth in our local community. I moved to Sheboygan in January 2021 from Virginia for my husband Jonathon’s job, and in March 2022 we welcomed our first baby boy! Although I have always been Pro-Life, journeying through pregnancy and motherhood has further increased my desire to help create a Culture of Life.
I’m so excited to spread Anchor of Hope’s mission and biblical truth by reaching new communities through this program.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
LeeAnn Fowler joined the team in May of 2021. She serves as the Center’s Administrative Assistant and her roles include Donor Support and Volunteer Coordinator. One of LeeAnn’s major tasks is serving as our Gala Coordinator.
CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER
Veronica Norton started serving at Anchor of Hope as a Client Advocate in early 2020 and began her role as Client Services Manager later that year. She then transitioned to the role of Marketing Coordinator. Having experienced an unexpected pregnancy while she was in high school, it led her to be passionate about life and families. The journey as a young mom led her to a relationship with Christ and a deep passion to meet moms and dads right where they are at as they receive grace, love, relatability and compassion. She worked and was involved in MOPS ministry for several years, gaining deep understanding to provide a safe place where families can see the love of Jesus in motion. She works toward the importance of making women and men feel supported to make life choices and life heart changes for their families and believes that Anchor of Hope is a place for those we serve to experience growth as we live relationally alongside them encouraging them and supporting them as we offer the deep hope and truth found in Jesus.
Bookkeeper
David Markworth joined the team in March of 2021 as the Bookkeeper after retiring from his senior accountant role with the Sheboygan County Highway Department.
